Traditional universal knife rooted in the Viking era Product number: NJ PETRI-D
Product number: NJ PETRI-D
The Njord Petri – the steadfast guardian at the gate. Driven by his love for humanity.
The Petri is a Puukko in traditional Scandinavian design. A Puukko is a universal knife shaped by centuries of practical use. This makes the Petri a true all-rounder – a reliable partner in the forest, while hiking, hunting, or out on the water. The blade is made from hand-forged layered Damascus steel, and its shape stands out through its elegant simplicity. The Petri features a traditionally shaped rosewood handle, making it suitable for every hand. The handle is accented with a brass pommel and bolster, and inlaid with a decorative wooden ring. It is finished with a traditional protective blend of beeswax and linseed oil. Delivered in a handmade brown leather sheath with belt loop and a luxurious storage box.
The inspiration for the design of this traditional universal knife originates in the Viking age. A knife was a daily tool, essential for survival in the wilderness, hunting, and fishing.
