Nocpix OMNI L19R Multispectral 8K Thermal Imaging Binoculars with LRF

The Nocpix OMNI L19R combines three observation technologies in one high-quality binocular device: thermal imaging for rapid detection, 8K digital imaging for detailed identification, and digital night vision for observation in complete darkness. Add an integrated laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1,000 metres, electronic image stabilisation and ballistic calculation, and the OMNI L19R becomes much more than just a thermal imaging binocular.

Nocpix has deliberately chosen two optical systems, each with its own specific purpose. The 384 × 288 thermal sensor with ≤15 mK NETD and fast 19 mm F0.9 lens provides a wide field of view for quickly scanning large areas. Once a heat source has been detected, the separate 8192 × 6144 pixel 8K digital channel with 50 mm F1.8 objective lens is ready for a much more detailed assessment.

For hunters, this is exactly where multispectral technology shows its value: first detect what the human eye misses, then see what is actually in front of you. Geplakte markdown

Thermal imaging and 8K digital imaging in one device

The strength of the Nocpix OMNI L19R does not lie in a single sensor, but in the combination of two completely different imaging systems.

For detection, the OMNI uses a 384 × 288 pixel VOx thermal sensor with a 12 μm pixel pitch and NETD of ≤15 mK. Temperature differences are quickly made visible, even when game is partially concealed by vegetation or when darkness makes conventional optics virtually unusable.

For identification, you can then switch to the digital 8192 × 6144 pixel 8K sensor.

This allows Nocpix to combine the strengths of both technologies without expecting a single system to perform every task.

19 mm F0.9 – a wide thermal image for quickly finding game

With thermal imaging, more magnification is not automatically better. When searching, a wide overview is particularly important.

That is why Nocpix has equipped the L19R with a 19 mm F0.9 thermal objective lens. Combined with the 384 × 288 detector, it provides a generous field of view of 13.8° × 10.4°, equivalent to approximately 24.3 × 18.2 metres at 100 metres.

This wide field of view is particularly useful when systematically scanning fields, feeding areas, forest edges or dense cover. With a thermal base magnification of 1.5×, sufficient overview is maintained to quickly detect movement.

The maximum specified thermal detection range is approximately 986 metres.

≤15 mK NETD – sensitive to small temperature differences

Resolution tells only part of the story with a thermal imaging camera. Equally important is how effectively the sensor can distinguish small temperature differences.

The OMNI L19R has a specified NETD of ≤15 mK.

This is especially relevant under thermally challenging conditions, such as a damp autumn evening, fog, light rain or environments where the temperatures of the ground, vegetation and wildlife are relatively similar.

In these conditions, the sensor must be able to translate subtle temperature differences into usable contours and contrast.

Combined with the particularly fast F0.9 objective lens, the compact 384 sensor offers serious capabilities for practical hunting use.

    8K digital channel with 8192 × 6144 pixels

Once a heat source has been detected thermally, the second part of the OMNI concept comes into its own.

The digital channel features an 8192 × 6144 pixel sensor with a pixel size of 1.2 μm. This provides more than 50 million pixels of image information.

Where thermal imaging primarily answers the question where is something?, the 8K channel can help answer the next question: what exactly am I looking at?

Fine characteristics such as body shape, head, coat structure and other identifying features can be assessed much more naturally in the digital image than with thermal imaging alone.

50 mm F1.8 objective lens for identification at distance

The digital channel has its own 50 mm F1.8 objective lens.

While the 19 mm thermal lens is deliberately designed to cover a large area, the longer focal length of the digital channel is intended for taking a closer look at the detected object.

The digital base magnification is 3× and can be increased up to 18×. The field of view is approximately 15.4 × 11.5 metres at 100 metres.

The two optical systems therefore complement each other:

19 mm thermal – searching and detecting
50 mm 8K digital – observing and identifying

This makes the OMNI L19R particularly suitable for hunters who regularly observe large fields, forest edges and open terrain.

Digital night vision with IR support

The OMNI's multispectral capabilities do not stop at thermal imaging and daylight observation.

In combination with an IR illuminator, the digital system can also be used for digital night vision. Depending on the version, the OMNI is available with 850 nm or 940 nm infrared illumination.

This effectively gives the user three different observation options in one device:

thermal detection – digital daytime observation – digital nighttime observation.

This provides greater flexibility to select the imaging technology that provides the most useful information in each situation.

    Electronic Image Stabilisation – EIS

The enormous resolution of an 8K sensor encourages higher magnification, but at higher zoom levels even small hand movements become increasingly noticeable.

That is why the Nocpix OMNI L19R features EIS – Electronic Image Stabilisation.

Electronic image stabilisation helps reduce image movement and provides a steadier view at higher digital magnifications. This is particularly useful during prolonged handheld observation or when an animal at greater distance needs to be examined more closely.

Integrated laser rangefinder up to 1,000 metres

Estimating distance in darkness or across large open terrain can be difficult. The OMNI L19R therefore features an integrated laser rangefinder with a specified maximum measuring range of 1,000 metres.

After detecting and identifying an object, its distance can therefore be measured using the same device.

For hunting, this means less separate equipment is required and observation does not need to be interrupted to use a separate rangefinder.

    Ballistic calculation

The integrated LRF is complemented by ballistic calculation.

Based on the measured distance and entered ballistic data, the system can provide additional correction information. This allows the OMNI to function not only as an observation device, but also as an information source before a responsible shot is considered using a separate riflescope.

Especially at unknown distances, the combination of observation, identification, measurement and calculation is practical.

    0.5-inch AMOLED display with 1600 × 1200 pixels

All image information is displayed on a 0.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1600 × 1200 pixels.

AMOLED technology provides high contrast and fast image rendering, both important characteristics for thermal and digital imaging.

Because the OMNI is designed as a true binocular observation device, you observe with both eyes. This provides a more natural viewing position than prolonged observation through a monocular thermal imager.

For longer observation sessions from a high seat or when scanning large areas, this can make a significant difference in viewing comfort.

Central zoom ring for intuitive operation

In darkness, you do not want to search for the correct button every time you need to adjust a function.

Nocpix has therefore kept operation of the OMNI relatively straightforward. A central digital zoom ring allows the magnification to be adjusted intuitively, while the different optical systems can be focused independently.

This is closer to the operation of traditional binoculars and makes important functions easier to access when wearing gloves or in low-light conditions.

    Internal and replaceable battery system

A long night outdoors requires more than just a large battery capacity. The power supply also needs to be practical.

The OMNI L19R therefore combines an internal battery with two replaceable 18650 batteries. The replaceable batteries can also be inserted regardless of polarity, eliminating the need to check the positive and negative ends when replacing them in darkness.

The specified maximum operating time is up to approximately 7.5 hours, depending on settings, functions used and ambient temperature.

Additional 18650 batteries can easily be carried for longer hunting sessions.

64 GB memory for photos and videos

Special observations can be recorded directly. The OMNI L19R features 64 GB of internal memory and supports photo and video recording.

Wi-Fi and app support also allow images and recordings to be used and shared via a mobile device.

Magnesium housing for serious field use

With so much technology on board, the OMNI also needs to withstand real outdoor use.

The construction uses a magnesium alloy, allowing Nocpix to combine high structural strength with a manageable weight.

The OMNI L19R has an IP67 rating and is specified for use at temperatures from -20°C to +50°C.

With dimensions of approximately 198 × 144 × 75 mm, it remains relatively compact for a multispectral binocular with two optical systems, LRF and dual power supply.

From heat source to identifiable game

A realistic hunting scenario best demonstrates the advantage of the OMNI L19R.

During an evening hunt, a large field is scanned. With the wide 19 mm thermal image, a heat source at the edge of the forest is detected almost immediately. Thanks to the 1.5× base magnification, enough of the surrounding area remains visible to determine where the animal is located and whether other game is nearby.

The user can then switch to the 8K digital 50 mm channel to assess more physical characteristics. If necessary, the distance can be measured immediately using the integrated LRF.

One device has therefore performed three separate tasks that would traditionally require multiple devices:

detect → identify → measure distance.

That is exactly where the OMNI shows its added value.

Who is the Nocpix OMNI L19R designed for?

The OMNI L19R is particularly interesting for hunters who spend a lot of time observing and do not want to rely on a single imaging technology.

Those whose sole priority is maximum thermal detection distance may, for the same budget, prefer a device in which most of the technology is invested in a larger thermal sensor. The OMNI deliberately takes a different approach.

Here, the focus is on versatility and the quality of the complete observation experience.

The wide 19 mm thermal optics search. The sensitive ≤15 mK detector locates. The 8K camera provides a natural digital image for further identification. IR enables digital night vision. EIS stabilises the image. The LRF measures the distance.

For hunters who actually use all this information, the combination offers significantly more than a conventional thermal imaging device.

Why choose the Nocpix OMNI L19R?

The OMNI L19R does not try to make one sensor perform every task. Instead, Nocpix combines different technologies, each doing what it does best.

With thermal imaging, you see that something is there. With 8K digital imaging, you can better see what it is. With the LRF, you know how far away it is.

The combination of a wide 19 mm F0.9 thermal image, a sensitive ≤15 mK sensor, a separate 8K digital camera with 50 mm objective lens, digital night vision, EIS and a 1,000-metre laser rangefinder makes the OMNI L19R an exceptionally complete observation device for daytime, twilight and nighttime use.
