The new ultra-bright and indestructible Pirschler 8x56 Abbe-König / Magnesium Night & Hunting Binoculars
This is the long-awaited relaunch of our successful Pirschler 8x56 binoculars. In addition to improved optical performance, this binocular is specifically designed for durability. Advanced materials and aerospace-grade manufacturing methods have also made this 8x56 model significantly lighter than its predecessor.
Stability and Robustness
In the new Pirschler binocular (with the exception of the tripod cap and armouring) there is not a single gram of plastic – neither on the body itself nor on wear parts. The body and bridge are made from an ultra-hard yet extremely light magnesium alloy used in aviation, making the binoculars virtually unbreakable. Additional advantage: the magnesium reduces overall weight.
The dioptre adjustment (+/-4) is no longer located on the focusing wheel but on the right eyepiece for better functionality. All operating elements – dioptre, eyepiece, focusing wheel – are made of duralumin, ensuring long-term durability. This design makes one-handed gripping and holding of the compact binoculars comfortable and secure, even while wearing gloves.
Specialist for Night Use
Although the optics impress during the day, the Pirschler is truly built for night hunting. As dusk falls and other products already lose significant image brightness and brilliance, the Pirschler starts to show its strengths. It almost seems as if resolution and contrast improve further as darkness increases. These binoculars will not let you down, right up to the very last available light.
Suitable for Eyeglass Wearers
The three-position metal twist-up eyecups ensure a perfect eye distance. The mechanism is firm, solid, and completely free of play. Compared with the previous model, the quality of the eyecup mechanism has been significantly improved, with a noticeable tactile resistance and clearly defined intermediate click stops (no rattling, no looseness, no accidental shifting).
Additionally, compared with other binoculars in its class, the Pirschler offers a greater exit pupil distance of 20 mm, making it especially comfortable for eyeglass wearers.
Smart Focus 50 m – ∞
A major advantage at dusk or at night is Smart Focus. With this technology, the Pirschler 8x56 requires little to no refocusing. After focusing once on an object about 100 m away, the eye automatically adjusts within the range of 50 m to infinity without the need for constant refocusing. To activate this function, simply turn the tactile line marking on the focusing wheel to the “up” position.
Brilliant Optics
The new CT glass with sophisticated DDlucid multi-coating and high-quality Abbe-König prisms makes observing with the Pirschler 8x56 binoculars a pure pleasure. The user enjoys extremely high light transmission and image brightness for high-contrast, brilliant reproduction with razor-sharp contours. Dispersion is very low. The Raindefender Nano coating ensures a water-repellent lotus effect. The binoculars themselves are completely waterproof up to 1 m in both warm and cold water.
Light Transmission
What one expects from a binocular designed for night hunting is above all light – and performance. The Pirschler 8x56 delivers this with ease. The emphasis is not merely on the peak value of 95%, but particularly on the range of 450–500 nm. This is where the human eye perceives most of the visible spectrum at night. A good night binocular must perform convincingly here and maintain values above 90% for as long as possible. The Pirschler does this with excellence.
