Since April 2016, the DDoptics universal hiking, hunting, and low-light binoculars are also available in a brighter 50 mm version. This configuration is less common, as most manufacturers focus on 42 mm models or 8x56 night binoculars.

However, 8x50 binoculars combine many advantages: ideal for birdwatching in low light and for hunting at dusk and night. The Ultralight 8x50 is surprisingly bright and usable until nearly the last light. At only 799 g, it is exceptionally lightweight. The field of view of over 102 m surpasses most 8x50 binoculars on the market.
