Precise Internal ZeroStop
After removing the turret caps of the reticle adjustment by loosening the upper screw on the turret, the cap can be lifted off. Underneath is the so-called ZeroStop, visible as a round black disc.
ZeroStop adjustment should ideally be carried out after sighting in the riflescope.
To do so, the three set screws on the ZeroStop disc must be loosened (for new scopes, the ring is usually already loose).
In this state, the disc can be freely rotated until it reaches the upper stop. Once it does, it is fixed in place by tightening the screws.
The stop is clearly visible between the disc and the riflescope body.
Afterward, the turret is reinstalled at the zero position, and the central screw is tightened.
The ZeroStop now ensures that the reticle adjustment stops exactly at the pre-set zero position – the distance at which the riflescope was zeroed.
A ZeroStop is especially useful for quickly and precisely returning to the zero position after elevation adjustments, without the risk of over-rotation.
This is a major advantage for both hunting and sport shooting at varying distances, allowing you to rely on your zero point and fully focus on your target.
