Le Chameau
Since 1927, Le Chameau has been making handcrafted boots of superior quality in France. This is a highly traditional process, yet the brand continues to innovate its products. The technology incorporated into the boots ensures that they maintain their strong reputation.
The brand was founded in 1927 under the leadership of Claude Chamot. Mr. Chamot, a hunter from Normandy, came up with the idea of creating waterproof boots made from natural rubber. By 1936, his hobby had grown so much that he started his own factory. In this factory, the boots are made by master bootmakers who must undergo nine months of training before being allowed to work at Le Chameau. This craftsmanship has been passed down from generation to generation, and to this day, the boots are still produced using traditional methods.
